Membership Fees

Anyone can be a member of the Oak Bay Lawn Bowling Club.

Annual Membership Fees 2019-20

Membership runs from April 1 to March 31 of the following year. There are no initiation fees or monthly minimum charges.

New types of membership have been added for the 2019-20 year. See 2019-20 Membership Fees schedule for details.

  • Full Adult Membership $250 (entitles you to take part in any or all of our club’s activities)
  • Duplicate Membership $215 (Must be a member of another club and as such have already paid the Bowls BC fee. Classed as a Full Member. May join other Oak Bay members in closed BSI tournaments)
  • Associate Player $125 (Must be a member of another club and as such have already paid the Bowls BC fee. Play in all summer lawn bowling from when the greens open to when they are closed, at which time Associate Player membership expires. Given a locker and access to the Members Only section of the website. May not play with Oak Bay members in closed BSI tournaments, as they would be representing their home club)
  • Social and Short Mat $125 (Access to all short mat activities and all social activities all year. Access granted to lockers and to Members Only section of the website)
  • Social $75 (Access to all social activities all year, but not lawn bowling nor short mat bowling)
  • Under 26 (age 19-25) $90 (Access to all club activities )
  • Junior (age 18 and under) $35 (Access to all club activities)
  • Late Joiner (after July 15, new members only) $125 (As a new Full Member, joining after July 15, may access all club activities)
  • Late joining Associate Player (after 15 Jul) $65 (Joining after July 15, has full rights of an Associate Player)

Application Forms

You need to complete a membership form when you first join the club and every year thereafter.

Membership cannot be confirmed until we receive your payment of the annual fees.


Your annual fee is payable online via Interac e-Transfer (details on the online membership forms), or by cheque, which should be made payable to “Oak Bay Lawn Bowling Club” and mailed to the club’s street address, or put through the mail slot of the club’s office in Anderson House. Please mark your envelope “Attn: Treasurer.”

Visiting Bowlers Fees

Members from other bowling clubs are entitled to play at Oak Bay Lawn Bowling Club. Fees may apply. See Visiting Bowlers page.
