The COVID pandemic lingered on into 2021, but gradually the club adapted to near normal activities in July.
In the first quarter, we were able to run a full short mat program, provided attendance at the indoor location was limited, but no tournaments or inter-club events were allowed. Other indoor social activities had to be suspended.
In May we restarted our outdoor program for bowling and croquet, although registration was recorded and restricted to conform to provincial guidelines. Entries in every single game had to be registered by the evening before and teams for daily draws were all set up in advance.
By July, we were running ten lawn bowling session per week and four croquet games. In August we hosted our first 2021 BSI tournament and, except for indoor social activities in the fall, things were pretty much back to pre-pandemic days.
