The Oak Bay Women’s Fours had its inaugural night tournament September 2,3,4 after seven previous triples events. The change was made to accomodate more players on our lighted green. It was a whopping success with 64 players crowding the green. The bowlers had to adapt to the changing green from evening dew to the lights which was an interesting challenge.
Only two teams won all three games. The winners were: Annie Mathie, Jill Foster, Linda Turnbull and Wendy Leaman. Second place went to: Nancy Fraser, Nancy Oberholtzer, Marie Lansdowne and Petra VanderLey. Third and fourth played each other in their final game and tied. Third place was: Cherlynn McArthur, Claudia Lang, Joanne Scarboro, Betty McDougall and Sherry McGowan. The difference between these two teams was .035.
The Kensington generously supported the tournament-ending social of ladies (otn) enjoying friendship with each other.
Thanks to all who helped so enthusiastically with their time and energy. We all know who you are!
