Close to fifty members celebrated St Patrick’s Day (yes it was a bit early but our members like to start early) and took the time to say goodbye to one of our own – Layla G who will soon be living in Cranbrook and taking on the challenges of her new job. It was a sunny and warm day that started with a “spider” resulting in Dave G winning $50. The bowling and croquet games followed the spider. John D organized the croquet players and after cracking one of his famous jokes Barry H, as draw master, had everyone divided into teams and the games began. This was followed by members gathering in Carnarvon House for cake and ice cream. Layla was presented with a number of parting gifts and a card. The 50/50 was held with Allan H winning $135. A host of members helped make this event such a success and they were: Jack S, David A, Lauren C, Barry H, Garry A, Jan P, Susi M, Jim C, Marian B, John D, Gloria B, Angela A and Susan B.
