The Miller Cup was held at the club on Sunday, June 14th.  Twelve teams vied for the title in this mixed triples tournament. The sun beat down relentlessly on the competitors and in the end, it was the team of Mary McGill, Brian Sandercock, and Carole Poirier who emerged in first place as the only undefeated team.  Second place went to Chris Slade, Pat Thomas, and Lori Anderson and the third-place finishers were Bobbi-Jean Charlton, Linda Cowie and Mark Lee.  Plenty of exciting shots were played and enjoyed by those who came to spectate.

 

Many thanks to Sandi and Maureen who helped keep the players happy with beverages (mostly cold) and treats, to Garry and Susan for working the bar when more cold beverages were required when the play was complete, and to Jan Price for inputting all the scores.  Also, a big thanks to Marcia Thorneycroft and Chris Slade for keeping me on track with the management of the tournament.
