November 27th was “Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap” sung by the band AC/DC. Club members came out to fill the holes that were dug for the sunshade foundations. Having weathered a number of rain storms the dirt was rather heavy and stuck to our shovels, rakes, boots and clothes but we did prevail. The holes are now filled but will need the be damped down followed by a top dressing and new lawn seed. That was the “Dirty Deed” part and the “Cheap” part was all the free labour our work party contributed to save our Club some money. A second work party was busy planning down the cedar posts that will be used for the sunshades. The twenty cedar posts were run through Lorne Cowley’s planner smoothing the sides of those posts It was a good day for the club and a good way to save money for the club.
