The Vic West LBC hosted the Bert Nelson mixed Triples tournament on August 22 &23. The tournament schedule was two 14 end games each day. The format was winners played winners and losers played loser over the course of the four games  this tournament began in 1985 by its Founder Bert Nelson. Bert passed away in 2002   His grandson Dave Rowett from Nanaimo attended on day two and said a few words about his grandfather and threw the first bowl of the day – he is not a bowler but he showed perfect form in his delivery. The weather was perfect and all the Vic West volunteers did a fantastic job   Their work was greatly appreciated by all. The results at the end of the fourth game were;

Four Game Winners: Jack & Marion Robertson and Kim Engelstad

Three Game winners: Dennis & Dorothy Verge and Don Pavan

Two Game Winners: Brent Merchant, Alan Leslie & Lee Miller

One Game Winners: Peter Smith, Jay and Lee Huang
