Sunny skies greeted the 36 players that came together at the Oak Bay Lawn Bowling Club, August 11 and 12. We were all treated to some marvellous bowling. Of course there can only be one winner and it was well deserved. Over the course of the two days, Dennis Verge and Michael Shepherd from Gordon Head ruled the greens. Followed closely by Kevin Neary and Randy Small from Lake Hill. Slotted into third was the ever present Barrie Ming and partner Al Thomson from Gordon Head. Showing a very strong showing was our own Doug Francis and Kory Swain. Congratulations to all these men and all the participants. Our kitchen was ably manned by Judy Black and Lauren Charlton. Ray and Brian did the rolling. The greens were in top shape. Thanks to John C. for his hard work. Finally I’d like to thank my co-manager Brent J. as well as Brent M. for all their help.
