One of only a few evening BSI tournaments, the women playing in the BSI Oak Bay Women’s Triples would begin their one game per day over three days bowling in daylight, moving on to twilight, and finishing the final ends in darkness with illumination coming from overhead lights on the east green.

Because lighting is only available on one of our two greens, a maximum of 16 teams could be registered. Happily, we had a full complement of teams which made for some exciting games. Bowlers from the following BSI clubs participated:

  • Canadian Pacific
  • Gordon Head
  • Juan de Fuca
  • Lake Hill
  • Oak Bay
  • Sidney
  • Victoria West

Started as a pilot tournament in 2017 the BSI Oak Bay Women’s Triples tournament has become a fixture on the BSI women’s tournament calendar. Rumor has it that a name change for this event is under consideration, one possibility being the “Ladies of the Night Triples”.
