The weather cooperated as the members of the club gathered for the annual Canada Day Fun Day to raise funds for CHAMPS. Captain Mary Magill gave an inspiring speech to her Team White only to be motivationally matched by Team Red Captain Lauren Charlton. Participants were decked out in the appropriate team colours.
Four rounds of bowling and croquet games were played and Lauren’s red team proved the more motivated with a 24.5 to 19.5 victory. The event raised over $5000 for the CHAMPS cause. Much fun was had and many prizes were won including the Best Dressed award going to Helen Kempster’s Scottish themed Canada Day outfit.
