Our club needs to compile a list of the projects and purchases we might be needing over the next five years. This survey is a start to putting this list in place to plan for the future. In some ways it is similar to how stratas have to operate. They are required to have a list prepared to indicate what expenses should be undertaken over a five- or ten-year basis. Currently we do not have a similar process for our club. This survey is a start in that direction.

It is important to hear back from as many members as possible. We are asking members to list what projects or purchases the club should fund (subject to our financial state) over the coming five years. These are projects/purchases that must be done and/or projects that you think would be nice to have, if we had the ability to fund them.  

To give you a sense of what we are looking for and the format, this link will take you to a document that lists ideas previously put forward and then placed in categories based on their expected cost. 

All we are asking for is:

  • what the project is – example: a new fridge for the bar – short, sweet and understandable
  • what you think it would cost – your best guess
  • your name 
  • enter as many project/purchase ideas as you want – there are no limits on the number of suggestions you want to submit

The survey will remain active until February 6, 2019. After it closes, all of the items will be categorized under the appropriate dollar ranges and will then be ranked in order of priority by the Executive members. Once that has been completed the entire list will be placed on our website in the Members Only area for your review. 

This list will then be used by the executive: if we receive any fiscal aid from our grant applications; if members make donations to the club; if a benefactor were to leave any sizeable funds to the club; or we were to have extra funds available.
