Seventy-nine members and guests attended this year’s Christmas dinner. A delicious traditional meal was followed by a draw for raffle prizes. Later, members raised their voices, some more reluctantly than others, to sing Christmas carols. A considerable amount of food, as well as cash donations, were received to send to the Mustard Seed; half of the proceeds from the 50/50 draw will also go to this worthy cause. A big thank you to the dinner and decorating committees for organizing our last major social event of the year.

What a great Christmas Dinner! The photos show the delicious food, the beautiful decorations and the fun everyone had socializing, enjoying their beverages and dinner and winning the awesome prizes. So nice to see everyone dressed up!
Special thanks to David Anderson, who collected more than 20 generous prizes from Oak Bay businesses, Carol Murphy, Barb Davidge and Tanis Ranger- members of the hard working Dinner Comm., Lizzie Franklin and Frieda Mountain who made the tea and coffee, Joan Firkins and Donna Blackstock who ran the busy bar so professionally and last but certainly not least, the clean up crew who took down the tables, set up for bridge and vacuumed. We could not have had such a successful night without you all. Also thanks to all who brought donations for the Mustard Seed. Including the donations from bridge, Barb was able to purchase $500 in gift cards for them. Well done OBLBC!
