Fixed Draws in Phase
Reserve your place in these games via the Daily Draws online calendar.
You may book as many games per week as you wish, even two games per day.
You must register to play in Fixed Draws
Follow the instructions to register online no later than 7:00 p.m. the day before you want to play. If you are already familiar with RSVP registration from last year, and as used in short mat bookings, you can go straight to the Daily Draws calendar.
If you have no access to online registration, please ask another member to register for you.
The drawmaster will collect the list of online entries at 7:00 p.m. to schedule the Draw for the following day.
Just after 7:00 p.m. each day, the Draw is prepared. It is just possible that you may be able to include yourself after that time, but you would have to call the drawmaster, who will only admit you if it makes scheduling the next day’s pairs game easier.
Rinks and drawmasters of the day
The rink layouts have been semi-permanently established in both directions on both greens, with the rink markers staying in place overnight. There needs to be a vacant rink between each rink being played, so only four rinks may be used on each green. One green will be playing north to south and the other east to west to minimize contact between players. Rinks vary from day to day such that each rink is played on just once in every four days, so there is no need to move the markers.
There can be no more than six players per rink (to allow for triples games) and no more than 32 pairs players at the club at the same time.
If you need to make any last-minute changes, such as a cancellation, after the 7:00 p.m. deadline for the Draw, you can contact the drawmaster of the day. The 2021 Rinks and Drawmasters Schedule shows you the times of the Fixed Draw games, the drawmaster’s name and how the rinks vary each day. The games are pairs games by default, with additional singles games or triples games scheduled where the number of registrants is not exactly divisible by four.
Practice time now available
Practice time is available when there are no times set aside for Fixed Draws, croquet games or Greens Cutting sessions.
