May 11 Opening Day was a resounding success. There were over 70 people bowling, croqueting and socializing. As special guests, the Honourable Laurel Collins, MP Victoria and her assistant Greg Teurling and acting Mayor Hazel Braithwaite, District of Oak Bay, joined us for a few ends of Bowling. Our guests announced the Federal and District grants that the clubs has received recently and had kind words for the club.

Our club volunteers, once again, made the opening a very special event. Special thanks to Angela and Brian for the awesome cake.

In our snazzy new shirts, our 70th year is shaping up to be another wonderful year and I look forward to socializing and playing with you.
