Victoria Bowls and Croquet Club hosted the Wilkerson Men’s Pairs during the evenings of June 8, 9 and 10. The last few days in Victoria have seen temperatures reaching 28 degrees. The Wilkerson tournament was not that fortunate. On Monday the 8th all participants were so happy  (not) that it rained for the entire game. The next night there was no rain but temperature dropped significantly with a steady wind making it feel like it was about 8 degrees. Finally on the last evening – no rain, no cold wind. Bowlers are a hearty bunch and can continue to play no matter what the weather brings. The tournament ended with the following results:

 

1st  Place: Alan Leslie & Barry Ming

2nd Place: Keith Newhouse & Dan Bitterlich 

3rd Place: Harry Walker & Brent Merchant

4th Place: Gary Paugh & Jack Robertson
