[su_heading size=”24″ margin=”10″ ]A sunny Burgers & Bowls tournament on Father’s Day[/su_heading]
The Burgers and Bowls Tournament was held on the afternoon of Sunday June 19 with approximately 60 members in attendance.
Three 6-end games were held and while I watched the various games the greens were filled with folks laughing and getting to know one another.
For a change, the weather cooperated and all enjoyed the sunny day.

Following the games, BBQ’ed smokies as well as beef and vegetarian burgers were served with ice-cream and sweets served for desert.

The team led by Linda Cowie took first place but, not to be outdone, every member who participated won a gift of wine or a gift card for Tim Horton’s, Thrifty’s or Save On Foods.

Thanks should be extended to Garry Anderson who shopped for all the food and “fixin’s” alongside a host of kitchen helpers who put everything together. Jack Coupe and Brent Merchant manned the BBQ’s.
It was wonderful to see so many first year bowlers participating and I hope that will encourage more people to register for future tournaments and for them to play in the daily draws and the Friday night social events.

We used our fancy online scoreboard to carefully record everyone’s efforts, but it scarcely mattered, everyone got prizes anyway.
