As we have progressed over the past 2 weeks of bowling we have learned what has worked and not worked, and we are planning some changes as follows:
The calendar has been extended for 3 more weeks, and we have made the Sunday fixed draw a cutthroat draw.
Some folks have asked that they have access to greens outside our fixed draws to practice. We will try and accommodate this but it will mean that they schedule ahead, and will self monitor, take the monitor training, and provide the proper paperwork. If you wish to use this option you must email me and register ahead of time. We anticipate putting this into practice on July 6 if all the members who are interested have had the monitor training. More on this later.
We will allow the use of rakes and mats starting July 6, once we have worked out the details. More to follow on this.
With respect to the calendar fixed draw, please remember that after 7 PM on the night before you are scheduled to bowl we shut down the event and turn off the lights. If you need to know something or cancel after that time please call Garry Anderson 250-220-5415.
Men’s and women’s days will have to wait until we get into the next phase.
The Executive has permitted a change to allow monitors to play in sessions they are scheduled as monitors. There will be one main monitor who will oversee the session and not bowl. The assistant monitors will help with setup, logging in bowlers and cleanup. They can register for the draw prior to cutoff or be allowed to even the draw as required. Any questions on this – call All Wood. Week Three revised schedule indicating the main monitor and assistant is attached. Week Four is now added. If you want to switch positions that is allowed.
Thank you all for being supportive during this time. Good bowling ahead!
