TO ALL MEMBERS
As announced in my last e-mail to you all, we will resume bowling on Monday June 15.
In that e-mail, which you can review here, there was a description of procedures that must be followed before you can bowl. I said then that you will have to register for any game at the club and that the online registration process would be communicated to you.
The registration process has now been settled. We will be using the RSVP registration system, the same system that we use to register for short mat bowling in the winter. Detailed registration instructions can be found here. Note that you must register no later than 7:00 p.m. the day before your game.
For those of you who do not have online access, please ask another member to register for you and to print out any forms you need to gain entry into the club. The schedule of “Fixed Draw” games has been set up from now until the end of the month. Choose which days you wish to play and book accordingly.
These will be pairs games only for the next couple of weeks. When you register, you will need to identify whether you wish to play Skip or Lead.
After registration closes at 7:00 p.m., a club drawmaster will work out the draw overnight and assign you to one of the games being played. You will be told your rink when you arrive for the game.
The games will certainly be different than you are used to. The Guidelines for Phase 1 Bowling describe the procedures we must follow. You need to be familiar with this document before you play.
When you arrive to play, it is very important that you have your completed paperwork in hand, to reduce delays. The health monitor at the gate will collect:
- On your first visit, the signed and initialled Waiver of Claims and the signed Acknowledgement Form.
- On your first visit, and every visit thereafter, a signed and dated Single-Day Screening Questionnaire.
Without completed paperwork, the health monitor will not allow you into the club.
There is now a webpage on the club website that describes all this and links to any documents you may need. Go to the green navigation bar at the top of any page of the website and click on FIXED DRAWS. It might be a good idea to check this page often, because the latest changes will always be there.
Good bowling!
