Victoria Day at OBLBC saw 36 intrepid bowlers meet the challenge of the 2-jack Rotational Triples Tournament.…and they survived! The noise from all those buzzing brains could be heard clear across the Straits of Juan de Fuca. Each team played three ten-end games with Skips, Thirds and Leads rotating positions after the 4th and 7th ends. The current lead from each team rolled a jack and points were counted for bowls closest to each jack. The weather gods blessed us with a beautiful sunny day.
Thank you to all the volunteers who helped to make it a successful first club tournament of outdoor lawn bowling for the 2024 season.
1st place went to the team of Rod Armitage, Doug Francis & Susi Merchant.
2nd place went to the team of Chris Slade, Beth Christopher & Harnam Grewal.
3rd place went to the team of Jim Cliff/Marcia Thorneycroft, Layla Godfrey & Angela Adamak.
The team of Ian McMorran, Brian Sandercock & Rosemarie Colterman won their entry fee back in a consolation draw.
