DAY 12: June 13th

Alex and John were to play pairs at Burleigh Heads Bowls Club, 15 mins south of us, so I played chauffeur to them and Shauna. Jaymee and Nathaniel were going to meet us later.

We arrived at the club about 8:10 and were told there was a delay due to the rain from overnight and the fronts that were headed our way. A Bowls Australia official came by to check the conditions and speak to the greenskeeper. At 8:45 she declared the games postponed till Wednesday due to puddling possibly to be played at a different club.

Into the car we get to take John to Broadbeach where his mom, Ann Marie, was to be bowling singles. It had been sprinkling there then began raining harder so A, S and I headed home.

Weather cleared up a bit so the other 4 BC’ers were itching to get out of the house so they walked over to Pacific Fair Mall and momma had the house to herself, ahhh!

2 hours of peace and quiet then I received a plea text for me to pick them up, good thing I did because they would have been drenched by the time they arrived home. Rain isn’t like a lamb in Australia more like a lion.

When we got home Ann Marie and John were back because her next game was postponed to another day.

Quiet evening watching tv, I have Keith and Bill (Nova Scotia team players) hooked on the show Merlin so at 8pm the tv is ours.
