Barbecue Season

 

Barbecue Season is fast approaching so we retired the three BBQ’s that were donated years ago. To increase the number of BBQ events we have each year two brand new units were purchased. The BBQ’s were delivered Friday afternoon and a work party to put them together went to work Saturday morning.  The “construction experts” included Garry Anderson, John Dolman, David Anderson, Brent Jansen and Brent Merchant. Our group of 5 males broke with tradition and actually read the instructions and followed the pictures that were included.  I don’t think we have made enough changes to ask people for directions when we get lost but it is a start in changing our male behaviour. Once the construction  was completed all of the packing material was transported to the Oak Bay dump and David Anderson took hold of the Dyson and cleaned up our work space. The BBQ’s are currently in Carnarvon House for members to see. Later we will move them to the BBQ shed. The pictures below detail the construction process from start to finish.
