BC player Steve Santana, whose home town is Victoria, and Ryan Bester, a Canadian living in Australia, have put Canada in the final of the Men’s Pairs in the Asia-Pacific Bowls Championship in Christchurch, New Zealand.

Here is a rueful comment from Bowls Australia, whose men’s pair was “vanquished” by Steve and Ryan, in which Bester is referred to as the “undisputed number one Australian male bowler.”
