To all Oak Bay members,

Two of our club members have won the Canadian Mixed Pairs Championship this past week in Qualicum Beach.  Brent Jansen and Karen Evans went through the round robin section with an 8-1 record to finish first and qualify for the championship final against Alberta.  They had control of the game throughout and were full measure as “Gold” medalists.  Congratulations Brent and Karen.

Brent Merchant and Louise Mason, who had won the BC Championships held at Oak Bay in August, played very well and had many close games.  We congratulate Brent and Louise on representing BC and the club at the nationals.

Many thanks to the club members and other Victorians who where in Qualicum to cheer on both of our teams.
