Four Oak Bay bowlers recently competed in a major Bowls USA tournaments. Henriette Ballinger (skip) and Marg Machan finished second in the 2nd Flight of the Cy Stephan Women’s Pairs, while Jeff Machan (skip) and Eric Ballinger won the 4th flight of the Bill Weaver Men’s Pairs. The tournament saw some very talented bowlers including several from Vancouver Island clubs. That completes the major tournaments in Sun City for this year. We look forward to an influx of familiar faces early in 2015, and more bowling on what are widely regarded to be the best greens in North America.
