At the club today several members were found to be quietly going about tasks which individually seem small but taken together make a big difference. One member was putting replacement signs high up over the windows in Carnarvon House to announce the most recent competition winners. Another member was installing new security devices, details of which have been conveyed to members through email. Most important on this date, our garden team/irrigation system troubleshooter – Alan Longstaff – was hard at work dealing with a water leak in the pipes that control our sprinkler system. Activities by members such as these occur all the time, largely out of sight and seemingly unappreciated. But without such caring members Oak Bay would not be the excellent club it is. Thank you.
