Umpires Course – Thursday May 19th – 2022
Beinga coach is an important role for all bowling clubs. Without coaches new members are left without direction about the sport and that would be tragic. Remember when you first started lawn bowling. Who helped you and who do you remember – I’m guessing it was a coach. Coaches are the people that help provide a person with their first impression of our club. Can you provide that first positive impression and can you explain bowling to people in an upbeat and positive manner. I’m guessing you can and hope you’ll consider taking the Club Course noted above. If in doubt reach out to one of our coaches to discuss. You just might find out how much fun it can be.
Umpires play an important role in lawn bowling. If you are someone who can understand the need for rules that guide the sport of lawn bowling and can explain and apply those rules in a fair and unbiased manner then this course is for you. Without Umpires tournaments would suffer and participants would be frustrated. Taking this course is a unique opportunity to know more about our sport and to broaden your relationships with other bowlers from our local clubs. I hope you will give serious consideration to following through with this opportunity.
