We might be members of a lawn bowling club but as over 200 members know, we also enjoy many other activities throughout the year. A large number of members recently tried their hand at a special darts competition hosted by Margaret & Jeff Machan and Shelley & Jim Sidel. Ample pot luck food and an open bar helped to make the day extra enjoyable. A few of our more skillful members even managed to win prizes. The rest of us were left to wonder what went wrong between the time our dart left our hand and when it reached the board.

Putting on an event like this requires a considerable amount of time in planning and execution. Judging from the reaction of those who attended it was all worthwhile.
