There will be an additional short mat tournament March 12. Online registration will be available from 8:00 a.m. March 1 and close at midnight March 8.

The one-day format of the four short mat tournaments so far in 2017 has proved popular, with rising numbers of players. Even though our latest tournament February 18 had the most attendees ever at 24, four other club members enquired just the night before about possible available places.

To respond to this increasing interest, we plan to stage an extra one-day club tournament – this time on a Sunday, March 12, IF AND ONLY IF someone new steps forward to organize it.

It would be useful if volunteer(s) had very elementary skill in Excel spreadsheets, which we use for scheduling, but it is not strictly necessary. We have an easily repeatable format for the one-day tournament that any new organizer can follow.

If you would be prepared to assist in organizing and running this tournament, Contact Steve Rikley, who ran the last tournament and will give you all the help you need. Someone has to volunteer; why not you?
