Groundhog Day
Our New Years Day Extravaganza was so successful that your Games Committee agreed to try a repeat called “Groundhog Day” on Saturday February 4th. Croquet and lawn bowlers are asked to arrive by 1:15 with the games starting at 1:30pm. The weather will determine how long we play but once the games end we will have a social in Carnarvon. Tea, coffee and goodies with be available for a small charge. The bar will be open as well. Spectators are welcome. There is no need to register just arrive by the noted time.
For lawn bowlers there might be a surprise on how your game will be played – you’ll have to be there to try something new, challenging and fun and I’m not “stringing” you along (that was a hint). As Groundhog Day is February 2nd and Valentines Day is on the 14th you may want to come attired in something that represents a Groundhog or a Valentine. It could result in some strange pictures so take the challenge you daring folks.
We had close to 50 members out for New Year’s Day so let’s try to meet or beat that number.
