For the third time this year we had the pleasure of welcoming a group of students, along with Nancy Mollenhauer, their teacher, from St. Michaels University School. Seventeen students were put to the test of attempting the seemingly easy task of rolling a bowl close to the little white ball, known in the vernacular of lawn bowls as the jack.
After club members taught the basics, it soon became apparent that the role of teacher and student could, at least in some cases, easily be reversed. We always enjoy these visits and look forward to many more.
