Breaking News . . .Post-tournament extortion concerns

Regrettably, after the tournament, a number of players reported that the masked woman who collected the score cards had threatened to alter the cards unless the players bought expensive tickets from her, most of which turned out to be worthless.

One player surreptitiously took a photo of the offender, caught in the act, and turned it over to the Oak Bay Police.

Thanks to secret forensic image-processing software, the police were able to digitally remove the offender’s disguise and reveal that it was in fact a man! A man who, in previous years, had been well known to the penal system.

They discovered that some years ago, there was circumstantial evidence that the suspect had laundered tens of millions of dollars through the construction business where the money was used to build multi-residential secure buildings.

The police expressed surprise that the current scam by the known offender was on such a small scale. Because of the trivial nature of the fraud and the fact that not all of the tickets were worthless, they declined to issue any arrest warrants. If the club, wishes to proceed further we were advised to provide more evidence. Perhaps the worthless tickets can be collected???
