Recently a number of our members have tested positive for COVID. Some of those members have fully recovered while others are isolating. In speaking with those members their symptoms are fairly minor – cold, cough, a slight fever and some fatigue. Thankfully all are on the mend.
I write to remind people to continue to practise universal health precautions. In the community we have all seen people wearing and not wearing masks indoors and outdoors. Masks at the club are still optional but members may wish to use them when in close contact with others outdoors or indoors. Our club has taken an approach similar to that in the community and in some areas we clearly exceed community standards. That is, we ensure members are double vaccinated, when members gather indoors, clubhouse windows and doors are open, ceiling fans are in operation and all hepa air filters are activated. In addition hand sanitizers are readily available. Thanks for taking the time to review this note and my earlier one titled COVID.
