On Saturday Jan. 14th, thirteen novice club members took part in the first club tournament of 2017.  Thirteen enthusiastic  participants played scotch pairs,  5 games of 8 ends, in a round robin format.  It was very a long day, but in the end there was one 4 game winner, and three 3 game winners.  Final results were determined by a point count, and were as follows:

1st – Steve Rikley and Anne Payne
2nd- Marcia Thorneycroft and Georgia Thorneycroft
3rd- Robbie Bagot and Ronnie Stinson/Joan Roberts

PS I believe that there was one more winner over the weekend; the crow(s) who devoured John Cossom’s lunch when he left it outside to cool!
