Do you remember the online Dinner Survey that we conducted in January this year? Ever wonder whether anything changed because of it?

The new Burger and Bowls Tournament shows the Dinner Committee was paying attention.

The Survey was answered by 52 members, who were generally happy with the current four-dinners-a-year program, but they also made suggestions.  Here is a selection from more than 100 survey comments that persuaded the Dinner Committee to act.

I would be equally happy if (our dinners) were less formal and we had pizza or hot dogs for less cost. . . We could do hot dogs etc., as we have good barbeques, which are hardly ever used. . . We have BBQ’s, etc. for short simple meals after a club tournament. . .BBQ’s hot dogs, hamburgers after games. . .Some more casual barbecues would be well received, I think. . .I would like to see the cost of dinner to remain closer to the $18 – $20 range.

The result of four months’ of deliberation is the brand new Burgers and Bowls half-day tournament to take place Sunday June 19.
