Some items leading up to the AGM and Short Mat season.

If not sent out earlier, here is the list of members nominated for the executive for next year.

With short mat starting up next week (see below) we will be holding the AGM in Carnarvon House as usual.

Mayor Kevin Murdoch will be at the club prior to the AGM to officially open Anderson House.

A note from your Short Mat coordinators:

“Thanks to the membership for accommodating the short mat bowlers in Carnarvon House over the last six weeks.

It has been an adventure in Carnarvon House using the green short mat as we wait for the availability of Anderson House. Well, wait no longer, short bowling will start next Tuesday November 13th in Anderson House. This is earlier than expected thanks to the work of the contractors, Barry Hersh and many volunteers. 

This does mean that short mat bowling in Carnavon House is finished. This cancellation also applies to the “Brew and Bowls” session this coming Friday. 

This weekend , Friday through Sunday and Monday will be dedicated to moving lockers back to Anderson House and bringing it back to a playing status.

For those who are interested in Short Mat Bowling, bookings for Daily Draws will be available through the website calendar. Click on the daily draw entry in the calendar for the session that you would like to participate in. The RSVP booking system will be activated at 6 pm on Sunday November 11th.  There 12 player slots available between the two mats.

In addition to the daily draws there are a number of drop-in sessions  and training sessions which are available with no booking.. 

More details on a Tuesday league and a club tournament will be published shortly
