Opening Day: A BIG thank you to everyone who made Opening Day a great success.  Weather was beautiful and the greens were running well.  Good start to the season.  All leagues, draws and additional lessons are now underway.  Please check the website for details.

Fund-raising cards: Thrifty’s Food community smile cards are ready for use again.  We have been approved for $3000 in support from Thrifty’s.  This year we have the new toilets in Anderson and Carnarvon House for most of the money.  Fairways community fund raising cards are available as well.  There is no limit on support from Fairways.  Please support our sponsors.

Adshead: A note from CP Lawnbowling on the upcoming Adshead tournament.  Details on how to enter the tournament are in the text from Kevin Burns.

Can you canvass some of your more experienced bowlers (80 years old at least) and see if they are interested in entering the Adshead. This tournament is at the Canadian Pacific Lawn Bowling Club. It is on Thursday May 17, with trial ends starting at 9:50 am. This is a mixed triples event. There will be three 8-end games.
