The first short mat tournament of the season took place on Saturday Oct. 26th., with 32 enthusiastic participants. Players were divided into 2 groups with 5 teams of triples in each group, and the matches consisted of each team playing 4 games of 2 bowl triples. There was a time limit of a maximum of 55 minutes per game.

Group 1
1st Garry Anderson/Mort Nelson, Kay Alexander, Georgia Thorneycroft/Helen Kempster
2nd Harman Grewal, Luci Ewen, Beth Christopher

Group 2
1st John Cossom, Erik Ewen, Sheila McCall
2nd Brent Jansen, Lee Miller, Robert Game

Congratulations to all winners, and a big thank-you to Garry Anderson and Andrew Harley for organizing the event and setting up the Carnarvon Cafe , to all the kitchen and bar helpers who help to make this such a successful day and  to Helen Kempster doing a great job on the score keeping.
