A small but enthusiastic group of students from St Michaels University School visited our club on 6 June.
After their teacher turned the group over to Louise Mason, Player Development Chair, they were put to work attempting to get their bowls close to the jack. With youthful enthusiasm the students quickly got the knack of the game and their bowls were all around the jack. Many a good delivery technique by our guests was noted by the “old hands” who came out to help.
The event was a brief but enjoyable encounter between generations. We look forward to future visits from the young people of our community as we share with them our joy for a sport which helps to keep us young!
