We have visited the Highlands, Loch Lomond, Urquhart Castle, cruised on Loch Ness, and travelled as far north as Inverness. We have also visited 2 more Lawn Bowling Clubs – Kinlochleven in Glencoe and Inverness Lawn Bowling Club. We received a very warm welcome at each club.

Kinlochleven had some surprises…they came around and took our drink orders and delivered our complimentary drinks to us while we were bowling!

Today we headed south again, and are now in Pitlochry for 2 nights. The weather has been cooler and drizzly all day. We have seen lots of pretty scenery along the route, and lots of heather in bloom on the hillsides.

Pitlochry is a lovely little town. We had a great afternoon of lunch, lawn bowls and lots of raffle prizes – another very hospitable group of people. We thought the club had arranged a flypass for us as 2 RAF fighter jets flew by at a very low altitude just as we started our game! A beautiful scenic setting looking out over green rolling hillsides as we played.

We head back to Edinburgh this morning.
