The first catered dinner organized by this year’s new Dinner Committee was held on Victoria Day, May 23rd, after a fun day of bowling. Seventy-one members attended. The comments we received about the dinner and various activities were very positive.
The 50/50 draw took in $264 and the lucky winner of $132 was Marcia Thorneycroft. The raffle made a profit of $128.35. There were 13 prizes. Between the main course and dessert there was a quiz on Queen Victoria.
The Dinner Committee met this week and are busy organizing the Canada “149” Day Dinner. Watch for announcements as to when tickets will go on sale. Again it will be $25.00 each. Please have your cash or cheque ready when you buy your ticket.
Once again, we are looking for a good crowd on Canada Day.
