A warm welcome to visiting bowlers from Qualicum. Not an uneventful day. A blockage on the Malahat caused some considerable delays for the visiting bowlers However they did persist and 11 bowlers arrived a little late, but none the less arrived in time to start some mixed triples with our club members. Unfortunately, 5 bowlers turned back due to the delays. The day started with 10 ends of triples, lunch and then 8 ends of triples to end the day. The weather was warm, some 26 degrees, but with lots of water everyone got through the day comfortably. Two spiders were on the cards at lunch time with handsome prizes to be won. The day ended with lots of thanks all round particularly for the efforts of the Qualicum bowlers to make the round trip to Oak Bay. May we see them next year. The final part of the day saw several door prizes being won, some going north of the Malahat
