Cossom-Blackstock Take Dore Cup Dore Cup Mixed Scotch Pairs was played at the club on the July 26-27 weekend.  The team of John Cossom and Donna Blackstock won A event and the Dore Cup in the final played Sunday afternoon against Harnam Grewal and Joan Firkins.  Sixteen teams started competition on Saturday in 4 sections of 4 teams playing a round-robin of games to qualify for the knockout round on Sunday.  The tournament was changed from the planned bonspiel format to section play due to the number of entries.  The format was welcomed by the members competing which gave all teams 3 games on Saturday and at least one game on Sunday.   B event final involved Jeff and Margaret Machan winning over Ray Troyer and Helen Kempster, C event was won by Allan and Marcia Wood over Jim and Shelley Sidel.  In the D event final Michael Lum and Linda Cowie defeated Barrie and Anne Bolton.  Many thanks to Prim Wood for looking after the draw, Andrew Harley for his tournament assistance during the weekend and for photos taken during the event,  all the members who helped with green setup and special thanks to the kitchen and bar volunteers who kept all of us well hydrated and snacked out.  We had good bowling and fun all weekend and hope to see more members out next year.   Allan and Marcia Wood, Tournament Managers More photos from our gallery
